COVID-19 Response Team Head Says Cannot Rule Out Greater Presence of Omicron

ZAGREB, 30 Dec 2021 - Deputy Prime Minister Davor Božinović, who heads the national COVID-19 response team, said on Thursday that considering a rising number of new infections in the last two days, one could not rule out that there were more cases of the Omicron variant than the 24 cases confirmed by sequencing so far. Croatia's Industrial Output Rises for 12 Months in Row

ZAGREB, 30 Dec 2021 - Croatia's industrial production grew in November 2021 by 3.7% compared to November 2020, thus rising for the 12th straight month, according to data provided by the national statistical office (DZS). The 12-month rising streak indicates that Croatia's economy continues to bounce back from the corona crisis. Magnitude 3.2 Earthquake Registered Near Sisak

Gov't Adopts 2022 Plan of Legislative Activities

ZAGREB, 30 Dec 2021 - The government on Thursday adopted a plan for legislative activities in 2022, envisaging 195 laws, with the Justice and Public Administration Ministry expected to put forward 33 bills and the Finance Ministry and the Ministry of the Interior 30 bills. Gov't Adopts Sisak-Moslavina County Revitalisation Programme

ZAGREB, 30 Dec 2021 - The government on Thursday adopted an HRK 15.3 billion program for the social and economic revitalization of assisted areas in Sisak-Moslavina County following last year's earthquake, and the companies there will receive the most in both domestic and EU support. Health Minister Calls on Citizens to Get Booster

Croatia's Retail Sales Up for 10th Month in a Row

Solidarna Foundation Raises €2.3m for Quake Victims in Sisak-Moslavina County

ZAGREB, 30 Dec 2021 - The Solidarna foundation for human rights and solidarity said on Thursday that its Fund 5.5. had raised over HRK 17 million (€2.3m) to help 1,200 families in Sisak-Moslavina County worst affected by last year's earthquake. Over 1,000 families have been granted financial aid and some have been provided with accommodation and assistance in repairing their damaged homes and properties.
