Share of Home Ownership in Croatia Higher than in Denmark and Germany

ZAGREB, 31 December, 2021 - As many as 91% of Croatians live in their own property, which is 21% above the European average, according to a survey by the EU's statistical office Eurostat quoted by the Večernji List daily on Friday. In terms of home ownership Croatians share the third place with Hungarians, with the percentage of privately owned homes being higher only in Romania and Slovakia. Mobile Phones, Smartwatches Most Popular Online Purchases in Croatia

ZAGREB, 31 December, 2021 - In 2021, Croatians most frequently bought mobile phones and smart watches on the internet, the average value of online purchases was HRK 283 and the most sought-after product was a robot vacuum, an analysis by the Jeftinije.hr portal shows. Interest in online shopping increased in 2021, largely replacing traditional shopping. Fifty-nine percent of consumers aged 16 to 74 shopped online in 2021. Croatian Athletes Win 189 Medals

ZAGREB, 30 Dec 2021 - Croatian athletes in 2021 won a total of 189 medals in all age categories at major international competitions, including 60 gold, 49 silver, and 80 bronze medals, according to statistical indicators of the Croatian Olympic Committee (HOO). ZSE Main Indices End Year at Highest Levels Since March 2017

ZAGREB, 30 Dec 2021 - On Thursday, the last trading day this year, the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) main indices went up, with the Crobex gaining for the seventh consecutive trading day and the Crobex10 for the fourth day in a row, both ending the year at the highest levels since March 2017.
