ZAGREB, 18 Oct 2021 - World Cravat Day was marked on Monday in Zagreb's main square, with the ceremony involving the Cravat regiment guard and the regiment commander decorating the monument of Ban Josip Jelačić with a red necktie. ZAGREB, 18 Oct 2021 - The people of Lovas on Monday laid wreaths and lit candles at a monument to 21 locals forced into a minefield by Serb paramilitaries and the former Yugoslav Army 30 years ago today. ZAGREB, 18 Oct 2021 - In 2020, there were 914 businesses in Croatia's grain-based food industry, and they employed over 15,000 workers and earned HRK 4.5 billion, according to data provided by the Finance Agency (FINA). Those businesses, specialized in producing grain-based foods that may include bread, cakes, pies, pastries, and similar foods, saw a 2% drop in the headcount to 15,121. The bakery industry's revenues of HRK 4.5 billion contracted by 6.1% compared to 2019, and its expenditure also dropped by 4.5% to HRK 4.34 billion. ZAGREB, 18 Oct 2021 - More than two tonnes of narcotics seized in police operations was burnt in a factory in the eastern town of Našice on Monday, including two tonnes of marijuana and hashish, 28 kilos of amphetamines, 15 kilos of cocaine, and 12 kilos of heroin, with a street value of about €9.5 million.
