ZAGREB, May 9, 2019 - High Representative Valentin Inzko addressed the UN Security Council (UNSC) on Wednesday and presented his regular six-month report on the status of peace implementation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, covering the period from 16 October 2018 through 15 April 2019. In his address, Inzko warned about separatist statements from some Republika Srpska politicians, and about the fact that the main Croat parties persistently rejected the judgments of international courts concerning their wartime leadership and sought to resuscitate the structures of that period’s para-state (Herceg Bosna). May 1, 2019 - The relationship between Croatia and its diaspora has always been complex, but a new positive wind of change will be on display at the 2nd International Conference on Diaspora Tourism. One of the most fascinating relationships in this very complex land is that between Croatia and its diaspora, a relationship which is more complicated than most longterm relationships.  It is also multi-faceted, with four main waves of emigration over the last 200 years to all corners of the globe. An Invitation Letter to the Croatian Diaspora

April 12, 2019 - There is a new energy to strengthen links between the Homeland and the Croatian diaspora - a letter of invitation. One of the more interesting relationships I have been covering in recent times is the increasingly interlinked relationship between Croatia and its diaspora. With now less than 4 million people living in Croatia and almost as many Croats dispersed all over the world, Croatia needs to engage more with its diaspora and encourage investments. The situation at the moment is that the diaspora sent back some 2 billion euro last year, more than foreign investment in…
