March 5, 2021 - To help tourism entrepreneurs add value to their facilities, Zagreb County grants HRK 70,000 to enhance accommodation in the area. Jutarnji List reports that the coronavirus pandemic changed the habits of travel enthusiasts last year. Departures to other countries were very limited and, in some cases, almost impossible, which is why tourists explored their own country instead. This trend has not bypassed Croatia either, where domestic guests have replaced foreign tourists. Visitors Choose Name 'Torak' for New Boat in Krka National Park Fleet

March 4, 2021 – Thanks to the online poll conducted with visitors and social media followers, a new boat in the Krka National Park fleet got the name Torak, after a lake-shaped spring in the center of the Krka and Čikola's fairytale confluence. Krka National Park recently launched online voting to name a new modern ship that will start sailing in their fleet this spring. More Delays to the Capital: Iberia Postpones Flights from Madrid to Zagreb

March 4, 2021 - After TAP Portugal delayed the start of operations between Lisbon and Zagreb, Spanish national airline Iberia has postponed the start of flights from Madrid to Zagreb. Croatian Aviation reports that Iberia and TAP Portugal have postponed the start of traffic on their lines to Zagreb. Obviously, the growth of passenger demand is not expected, which is logical given all the current restrictive measures and recommendations not to travel to other countries to curb the spread of the pandemic. Half of Last Year's Overnight Stays in Croatia Recorded in First 2 Months of 2021

March 2, 2021 – Half of last year's overnight stays in Croatia were recorded in the first two months of this year, and most of the guests were domestic tourists. As Hina finds out from the Croatian National Tourist Board (CNTB), in the first two months of 2021, there were slightly more than 205,000 tourists and 678,000 overnight stays in Croatia, which is about 50 percent from the same period in 2020. Lufthansa Cancels All Flights from Munich to Zagreb, Croatia Airlines to Run Daily Service

March 3, 2021 - Despite the announcements, Lufthansa has canceled all flights from Munich to Zagreb this summer.  Croatian Aviation reports that just two weeks ago, Lufthansa announced plans to fly to several destinations in Croatia in the summer flight schedule, including two routes to Zagreb, from Frankfurt and Munich. Lufthansa suspended the Frankfurt - Zagreb route in March 2020, after the pandemic outbreak, and has not operated on it for a year. ZAGREB, 2 March 2021 - Over the next three months a short promotional film on Dubrovnik will be shown at 73 United States airports as part of the city tourist board's new campaign to motivate U.S. tourists to visit the southern Adriatic resort and Croatia, the Dubrovnik Tourist Board said on Tuesday.
