Lika Offering Preserved Scenery, Organic Food as Main Assets of its Tourism

ZAGREB, 5 June 2022 - The Croatian mountainous region of Lika has started promoting its tourism and ecological agricultural production under the slogan "Lika je Lik"  that is "Lika Cures" (in an unofficial translation) so as to highlight its main assets: the preserved scenery and organic food. This Season's First Tourist Train from Prague Arrives in Rijeka

ZAGREB, 4 June 2022 - This summer season's first train within the Czech rail operator RegioJet's seasonal service on the Prague- Zagreb-Rijeka/Split route arrived in Rijeka on Saturday morning, bringing more than 250 travellers to this northern Croatian seaport. In Prague, about 600 passengers boarded the train, and of them 250 travelled for Rijeka while the remaining passengers are bound for Split. This is the third season that RegioJet is operating this service. In the previous two seasons, an estimated 150,000 passengers used this service to travel between Czechia, Slovakia and Croatia. Renovated Fortress of St. John in Šibenik Opened to Public

ZAGREB, 4 June 2022 - The renovated Fortress of St. John, one of the four medieval fortresses of the Croatian coastal city of Šibenik, was formally opened at a ceremony at that seaside city on Friday evening. This fortress, built in the mid-17th century, and the other fortresses in the city were important for defense against Turkish invasion. It features a panoramic view of the town. Ryanair Zagreb Flight Reductions Extended into Mid-July

June 3, 2022 - The latest flight news to Croatia as Ryanair Zagreb flight reductions continue into the middle of next month.  Several Ryanair Zagreb destinations will see further reductions and temporary route suspensions into mid-July, reports Ex Yu Aviation.  Passengers already witnessed reductions in May, and while the airline was to conclude the network cutbacks in June, it is now extending the suspension of some of its Zagreb lines into next month - namely to Basel, Sofia, and Brindisi until July 18.  Ex Yu Aviation adds that Sandefjord, Malaga, and Paphos flights will only run once a week until mid-July…

May 2022 Sees 178% More Croatian Tourist Arrivals Than May 2021

June the 3rd, 2022 - Croatian tourist arrivals are showing some very refereshing numbers following two pandemic-dominated years in which things were extremely slow and concerning for all stakeholders in Croatia's strongest economic branch. As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, more than 190,000 tourists are currently staying across the Republic of Croatia, continuing the good trend from May with 1.3 million arrivals and 4.9 million overnight stays, which is 178 and 155 percent more than was recorded back during same month in 2021.
