Locals Fight against Dubrovnik Museums to Keep Cat Anastazija at Rector's Palace (VIDEO)

March 31, 2022 - Dubrovnik locals are fighting to keep its most famous cat Anastazija at the central Rector's Palace, which she calls home. Dubrovnik Museums, however, have not welcomed the idea.  A tame tricolor 18-yeat old cat named Anastazija became famous far beyond Dubrovnik city limits this week. Committee Recommends Constitutionality Test for COVID Referendum Questions

ZAGREB, 30 March 2022 - The committee on the Constitution on Wednesday recommended by majority vote that parliament forward the questions from the Bridge party's referendum petitions against COVID certificates, and the national COVID crisis management team, to the Constitutional Court for assessment. Parliament is expected to vote on the recommendation before the Easter recess. New Secondary School Enrolment Rules Give More Weight to Entrance Exams

ZAGREB, 30 March 2022 - Croatia's education ministry has prepared new rules for enrolment in secondary schools, whereby schools can hold entrance exams that will award more points to entrants. Apart from their grade average during elementary education and successes in previous contests and school competitions, the performance of the candidates in entrance exams will also carry some weight in the final ranking. Caritas Croatia Sends Two More Lorries Full of Aid to Ukraine

Most Ukrainian Refugees Arrive in Croatia via Goričan Border Crossing

Economic Sentiment Indicator Improves in Croatia, Takes a Hit in EU, Euro Area

ZAGREB, 30 March 2022 - Expectations for Croatia's economy improved in March however, uncertainty prevails due to the war in Ukraine which is bothering managers and consumers in the EU and the euro area, triggering a wave of pessimism, shows a report released by the European Commission on Wednesday. The Economic Sentiment Indicator (ESI) for Croatia picked up in March by 1.5 points compared to February and now stands at 109.1 points. Bridge Terminates Cooperation With Split Mayor, Demands Fresh Election
