The only accessible cave in the Grabovača cave park, Samograd cave is located in a karst sinkhole, while in the cave itself there are hand chiselled stone steps more than a hundred years old with wooden handrails.
The temperature inside the cave averages at 8° Celsius. In the area of Grabovača, the oldest sediments are from Upper Cretaceous period, lasting from 144 – 66 million years ago and are represented with layers of limestone.
