Lighthouses on the Croatian Adriatic vary from small ones to huge edifices, all equally important to maritime safety. Most are unmanned, larger ones often offering apartments for rent in solitary locations. As many were built in the late 19th and erly 20th century, they are also monuments to culture and engineering.
