It is one of Dalmatia's most picturesque - and traditional - islands, but until today, it was almost one of the least accessible.
That all changed a little after midday today, as the first scheduled European Coastal Airlines seaplane flight from downtown Split docked on the island of Lastovo, after a flight of just 22 minutes over the islands of Brac, Hvar and Korcula.
There will now be daily flights, soon rising to twice a day, making the island of Lastovo a new addition to the island-hopping revolution in Croatia.
