Looking for a Villa on the Water in Dalmatia?

By 31 January 2018

Continuing our look at the luxury real estate on the market in Croatia through the eye-watering portfolio of Sotheby's Croatia International Realty on January 31, 2018, a real gem right on the water.

A new year has begun, and in Croatia, thoughts of the new tourist season are not far away. Millions of tourists will once again hit the Dalmatian coast and fall in love with this beautiful country. More than a few of them will daydream of owner a property on the water, with uninterrupted sea views and direct access to the pristine Adriatic.

A dream or reality?

We caught up with Marko Pažanin, director/partner of Croatia Sothebys International Realty, to see what he expected from the 2018 market, and whether or not he had any dream properties on the market.

"In this year I expect a growth in the luxury real estate sector, in terms of the demand and the price range. There is a certain increase in the demand for properties in the coastal regions of Croatia, especially in Dalmatia and Istria. I can say that more investment projects are to be expected in 2018, especially in tourism sector. Those will be probably seafront projects and projects in the historic town centres. There is certainly a lot more interest in investments in tourism than in the prior years and this is very important since tourism is still the strongest economy branch in our country."

As for those magical properties on the water, Marko has them in abundance, but we have decided to feature just the one today, a wonderful property close to Trogir and Split International Airport. In the words of Sotheby's Croatia International Realty:

A STONE VILLA BY THE SEA

If you always imagined your dream property as a stone beauty from the outside, and a warm wooden lady from the inside you have just found it!

This breathtaking specimen is located in Vinišće near Trogir, and with its 260 m2 combines the two most desirable characteristics: an exterior that looks strong like a fort and the interior supple as a gentle flower.

On the first floor, there is a kitchen with dining room and living room. The spacious floor as a whole is open and connected. The kitchen radiates Dalmatian charm with its wooden details and a large stone sink. It is fully and modernly equipped with a gas stove, fridge, wine cooler and ice machine. The dining room is right up to the kitchen and comfortably accommodates eight people.

In the spirit of an increasingly popular “open concept”, the kitchen and dining room continue into the living room with a stone fireplace for cozy gatherings. This area continues on the outdoor terrace ideal for enjoying the sea view. There is a lounge area as well as an outdoor dining area.
