Mirko Cro Cop Knocks Out Baruto, Advances to Finals of Rizin World Grand Prix

Mirko Cro Cop Filipovic has advanced to the finals of the Rizin World Grand Prix in Japan.

Mirko Filipovic, in just 50 seconds, knocked out his Estonian opponent Baruto to advance to the finals of the Rizin Grand Prix in Japan, reports Index.hr on December 31, 2016.

 

Baruto trapped Mirko in a clinch on the ropes, but the fighter in Mirko tore out and immediately retaliated by attacking. He used his knee to knock Baruto out and quickly concluded the show in the first round.

 

Mirko welcomed standing ovations at Saitama Arena, and the cheer and applause lasted longer than the match against the 180 kilo Estonian.


The final is expected to take place around noon, and Mirko Cro Cop will fight against former world champion Greco-Roman wrestler Amir Aliakbari, who defeated Russian Valentin Moldavsky in the other semifinal match.
