Adrenaline Junkies Rope Jump Over Imotski's Red Lake (Video)

Are you looking to get your heart rate up this Monday?

The rain in Imotski over the weekend only briefly halted the final preparations for the first rope jumps of Ukrainian and French thrill-seekers over the famous Red Lake, reports Slobodna Dalmacija on May 6, 2018.

The first jumps finally took place on Sunday afternoon, and according to the organizers' predictions, thirty brave jumpers will continue to leap over the lake until Thursday.

The first electrifying jumps we recorded on amateur video footage, as it is pretty difficult to get alluring photos of the actual action in flight - the jumper does take off at a speed of almost 70 kilometers per hour, and after a free fall of some 220 meters, stops by using special ropes some seventy meters over water. After the jump, they slowly descend into a boat that leads them to the shore. This is then, of course, followed by a climb up from the Red Lake.

This was, indeed, one of the biggest attractions filmed in the world-famous natural phenomenon of Imotski. Is your heart racing yet?

Hundreds of visitors flocked to the cliffs of the lake to follow the jumpers fly, and for the rest of the week, locals and tourists will continue to enjoy this thrilling, adrenaline packed experience as jumpers will leap from great heights through Thursday.
