15 Million Euro Allocated for Preservation of Nature in Croatia

ZAGREB, May 28, 2018 - The European Investment Bank and the European Commission have secured 15 million euro for the Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development (HBOR) for the technical support programme which will enable the HBOR to better identify projects aimed at preserving biodiversity, improve green infrastructure and strengthen the resistance to climate changes.

Zagreb City Assembly Rejects Mayor’s Waste Management Plan

ZAGREB, April 27, 2018 - A waste management plan put to the Zagreb City Assembly by Mayor Milan Bandić on Thursday was not adopted as a majority of members voted against the proposed plan, with 15 votes in favour, 25 against and 7 abstentions.

Crodux Denies Responsibility for Water Pollution in Slavonski Brod

ZAGREB, April 13, 2018 - The Crodux oil company, at a press conference in Zagreb on Friday, dismissed responsibility for water pollution in the eastern town of Slavonski Brod, saying it was not possible that the petrol spill could have reached water wells and water pipes 48 hours after a leak in the oil pipeline.

Citizens of Slavonski Brod Protest over Pollution

ZAGREB, April 8, 2018 - Several hundred residents of the eastern city of Slavonski Brod on Saturday rallied for a peaceful protest to warn once again of the problem of air pollution in the town as well as a recent water pollution incident, saying that their fight was one for a life in dignity and that they would stage a protest in Zagreb on April 14.
