ZAGREB, August 21, 2018 - The Ministry of Justice and European Commission Representation in Croatia on Tuesday officially presented a project for developing a single IT system for prison administration which was financed with more than 500,000 euro from the European IPA 2012 programme.
There are 32 towns which have not withdrawn a single euro.
ZAGREB, July 21, 2018 - A development agreement for the Slavonia, Baranja and Srijem region, which provides funding for the implementation of 29 strategic projects, was signed as part of the 5th meeting of the Council for Slavonia, Baranja and Srijem in the eastern town of Vinkovci on Friday.
ZAGREB, June 10, 2018 - Croatia's Science and Education Ministry will have absorbed an additional 600 million kuna from the European Union funds until the end of this year to upgrade science and research, whereas in the past 12 months, a total of 2.5 billion kuna were withdrawn from the European Social Funds and the European Regional Development Fund, according to a press release issued by the ministry on Sunday marking the first year since Minister Blaženka Divjak took over this government department.
ZAGREB, June 2, 2018 - In the EU's next seven-year budget, Croatia is expected to get, as part of the EU's common agricultural policy (CAP), 4.0345 billion euro, expressed in prices from 2018, or 4.544 billion euro expressed in current prices that take into account projected inflation, with slightly more funds for direct payments to farmers and less funds for rural development.
ZAGREB, May 30, 2018 - Croatia is expected to be allocated 8.767 billion euro under cohesion policy for the period 2021-2027, or 9.888 billion euros if inflation is taken into account, the European Commission said on Tuesday.
ZAGREB, May 29, 2018 - The Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure has so far signed contracts for 58 EU-funded projects worth about 12.7 billion kuna (1.7 billion euro), which makes it the most successful government department in absorbing EU funds, Minister Oleg Butković said on Tuesday. He was speaking at a conference called "The kind of Croatia that we need - Croatia's transport future", organised by the Večernji List newspaper.
ZAGREB, May 28, 2018 - The European Investment Bank and the European Commission have secured 15 million euro for the Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development (HBOR) for the technical support programme which will enable the HBOR to better identify projects aimed at preserving biodiversity, improve green infrastructure and strengthen the resistance to climate changes.
ZAGREB, May 25, 2018 - Local government representatives and the Payment Agency in Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development on Thursday signed agreements valued at 470 million kuna for 102 local government projects from Measure 7 – Basic services and village renewal in rural areas – of the EU Rural Development Programme.
ZAGREB, May 21, 2018 - Works on the extension and repair of the existing drainage system in Varaždin, which is as part of the Varaždin Agglomeration project, worth more than 855 million kuna, began on Monday on the outskirts of this northern Croatian city.
