June 17, 2022 - The latest flight news to Croatia as easyJet Croatia flight cancellations in July have been announced from London.
British low-cost airline easyJet will reduce the number of weekly rotations between London and three Croatian airports in July. There are cancellations on the mentioned lines in June, and they will continue in the peak summer season, Croatian Aviation.
Namely, easyJet is reducing the number of weekly rotations on lines between London (Gatwick), Pula, Rijeka, and Split. There were cancellations of certain departures on these lines in June as well, and the same will continue in July. The airline has currently canceled flights until the first half of July, on time, thus avoiding compensating passengers in accordance with regulation 261.
The line between Pula and London was planned daily in July, for a total of 31 return flights, but the airline canceled all flights on Tuesdays and additional flights on Fridays on July 1, 8, and 15. 2,400 fewer seats are now available on the line next month.
The line between Rijeka and London was originally announced twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, but several easyJet flights have already been canceled in June. Instead of a total of 9 planned rotations in July, seven have now been announced, namely, flights were canceled on Tuesdays, July 5 and 12.
On the line between Split and London (Gatwick Airport), easyJet originally announced two to four daily flights for July. There were cancellations on some departures, also in the first half of July, so the total monthly number of operations on this line in July is currently reduced from the planned 99 to 95.
Given that easyJet will operate at least twice a day on the mentioned route every day in July, passengers will be offered the option to make their trip on a replacement flight, which is not the case on the line between London and Rijeka, given the relatively small number of weekly operations. Croatian airports are no exception. EasyJet has reduced operations on more than 50 flights from Gatwick Airport in London for next month, citing a shortage of staff at London Airport and the company that handles aircraft at the airport.
Yesterday, easyJet reduced its flight schedule from Berlin in July, but there are no canceled flights on the routes to Croatia so far.

The line between London (Gatwick) and Split in the peak summer season was to operate 18 times a week, and the number of rotations has increased to 22 flights a week. There has also been an additional capacity increase. Some flights will fly the larger A321 aircraft instead of A320.
The line between London (Luton) and Split increases from 9 to 11 weekly flights,
The line between Lyon and Split will operate five times a week instead of four, with flights added on Sundays.
Changes in Zadar, Rijeka, and Pula
The line between Berlin and Zadar has been reduced from four to two flights a week throughout the season,
The line between London (Gatwick) and Pula will run daily from the end of June instead of 6 times a week,
Capacity is reduced on the Glasgow - Pula line. The smaller capacity A319 will run once a week instead of the A320,
A319 aircraft have also been announced on the new route between Berlin and Rijeka as of July 30. Larger A320 aircraft have been planned for both flights.
On the new route between London (Gatwick) and Rijeka, A319 and A320 aircraft have been announced instead of the previously planned A320 aircraft.
Three changes to Dubrovnik
The line between Berlin and Dubrovnik will run three flights a week instead of four,
The line between Bristol and Dubrovnik will run four flights a week instead of three,
The line between London (Gatwick) and Dubrovnik will run 19 times a week instead of 12.

As of March 28, a regular line between Pula and London (Gatwick Airport) will be introduced, which will run 3 times a week, every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. 624 seats are available on this line for the first two rotations.
Rijeka and Zadar lines
Rijeka Airport will have two easyJet lines this summer, to London and Berlin, but they will start operating in May and June, respectively.
A total of 5 lines have been announced for Zadar, to Amsterdam, Basel, Berlin, London and Milan, but like Rijeka, some lines will start operating in May and some in June.
Split lines
For this summer season, 14 regular lines to Split Airport have been announced, and ten lines will start operating this month:
Amsterdam, from 28.03., five times a week,
Basel, from 27.03., daily,
Berlin, from 27.03., four times a week,
Bristol, from 27.03. four times a week,

Naples, from 28.03., four times a week,
Paris, from 29.03., twice a week.
In March alone, easyJet will operate a total of 29 return flights to Split Airport, and thus offer 4,524 seats in the last week of this month alone.
Lines to Luton, Lyon, Milan and Orly will start in May and June, and the number of weekly rotations on all lines will increase from week to week.
Dubrovnik lines
Dubrovnik Airport is a long-term easyJet destination in Croatia, and 8 international routes will depart from Dubrovnik in March for:
Amsterdam, from 27.03., twice a week,
Berlin, from 30.03., twice a week,
Bristol, from 27.03., three times a week,
Edinburgh, from 29.03., twice a week,
Geneva, from 29.03., twice a week,
London, from 27.03., five times a week,
Manchester, from 30.03., twice a week,
Naples, from March 29, three times a week.
easyJet will run 13 return flights to Dubrovnik in the last 5 days of March, with 2,028 seats on sale. Lines to Lyon, Nantes, Orly and Basel will start in May and June.
44 easyJet return flights from March 27 to 31 are a hint of a good summer season in which this well-known low-cost airline will significantly increase its market share compared to the previous two seasons.
In the peak summer season, easyJet will operate on 42 scheduled international routes from five Croatian airports, but a detailed analysis of the schedule for May, June and July will be known in the weeks ahead, given that operational changes are certainly possible.
Airlines from the A320 family, type A319, A320 and A321NEO, which have a capacity of 156 to 235 seats at easyJet, have been announced on the routes.

February 1, 2022 - An agreement was reached to once again connect the English capital with the third-largest city in Croatia, and EasyJet returns to Rijeka airport after 15 years, with two weekly flights between May and October.
Rijeka airport announced the return of the English low-cost airline to the island of Krk. After fifteen years of absence, EasyJet will connect the third largest city in Croatia with London Gatwick.
The airline also confirmed the news, adding that it will operate between May and October 2022, with two weekly flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
"EasyJet deserves record airport traffic"
Rijeka airport welcomed the news that after announcing the return of Ryanair, Condor Airlines, and AirSerbia, the well-known company EasyJet will also join them this year. It is one of the most important low-cost airlines in the British market, and in 2006 and 2007 it was responsible for a large part of the international air traffic at Rijeka airport.
As EasyJet returns to Rijeka airport, the city expects this year the recovery of international traffic in the region, and also a record number of passengers arriving between May and October.
More tourists from the UK are expected
They state that after many years of negotiations between Rijeka Airport and EasyJet, a consensus was reached and that in talks with representatives of the relevant ministry, county, local units, hotels, and tourist boards, support and guarantees for promotional activities in the region were provided.
These activities are necessary to better position Kvarner in the British market, so it is planned to encourage and increase the number of arrivals of guests from that market, which now accounts for less than 1 percent of overnight stays in Kvarner, said Rijeka Airport.
The city of Rijeka considers it necessary to reinforce its tourist offer and its strategy to attract international guests, after a couple of years of a pandemic that affected the development of the activities planned for Rijeka 2020: European Capital of Culture and the traditional carnival of the city being canceled in both 2021 and 2022.

November 23, 2021 - The latest news on flights to Croatia as 4 easyJet summer lines to Dubrovnik and Split have been canceled for the 2022 season.
The British low-cost airline easyJet has canceled some seasonal routes to Croatia, despite announcing that the airline will significantly increase its capacity to Croatian airports next summer. This is due to financial troubles, which began before the pandemic, reports Croatian Aviation.
As the Ex Yu Aviation announced earlier, easyJet withdrew three lines to Dubrovnik and one to Split. The airline claims that the lines with the least passenger interest were withdrawn from sale.
Namely, lines between Luton, Milan, Toulouse, and Dubrovnik are no longer on sale, and the line between Belfast and Split has been canceled. In addition, the airline has not launched several other lines to Croatia this summer season, justifying the move by low demand due to the pandemic.
easyJet currently offers 40 international routes to Croatia next summer, but there will be operational changes at the beginning of the summer season. The Croatian Tourist Board points out that the airline showed great interest in Croatia at the World Travel Market in London, and even announced negotiations with Rijeka and Osijek on establishing regular routes to the two mentioned airports.
For now, the largest number of easyJet lines is offered to Split (14), Dubrovnik (12), Pula (9), and Zadar (5).
The airline also points out that they will announce new routes to Croatia in the coming months, emphasizing the importance of Croatia as a traditional destination of this airline. Negotiations on introducing new lines for next summer are underway. It should be noted that easyJet is one of the largest users of joint advertising, for which the Croatian Tourist Board is announcing a tender.
Croatian Aviation adds that easyJet is slowly but surely losing its share of transported passengers on the Croatian market, primarily due to the new lines of Ryanair and Wizz Air, which also have yet to announce summer programs for next year.

November the 3rd, 2021 - The well known flight company EasyJet is considering introducing flights to two more Croatian cities for the very first time as the World Travel Market kicks off in the British capital. Could EasyJet Rijeka and even Osijek flights be on the cards in the not so distant future? Maybe.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, promising announcements for Croatian tourism are coming from the World Travel Market (WTM), which started a couple of days ago in London. According to the director of the Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ), Kristjan Stanicic, who met with representatives of some of the most important partners such as easyJet, TUI, SAGA, Jet2.com & Jet2Holidays during the first day of the fair, Croatia looks as if it will be a hit destination next year as well.
"We've achieved some exceptionally good results this year, and there's also been great announcements for next year from the representatives of Jet2.com, our most important partners on the British market, which, along with TUI, brings us the largest number of British tourists each year.
These partners have announced an increase in demand for Croatia and a larger number of airlines, but we also have a great responsibility ahead of us because the basic precondition for a successful tourist season will be a stable epidemiological situation,'' said Stanicic.
EasyJet is also satisfied with the achieved results and notes that in 2021 they have almost completely returned to the trends from the pre-pandemic record year of 2019.
"Speaking of Croatia, next year we plan to increase capacities and introduce some new flights, and for the first time we're considering the introduction of flights to the airports of Rijeka and Osijek," revealed Richard Owens, the development manager at easyJet.
EasyJet Rijeka and certainly Osijek flights would bring even higher numbers of visitors to Croatia and finally shine the spotlight on the commonly overlooked Eastern Croatian region, which has a lot to boast about but is still very much stuck living in its coastal cousins' shadows.

April 28, 2021 - The latest flight news to Croatia as there are only 3 easyJet lines to Croatia in May, all to Split Airport.
Croatian Aviation reports that easyJet, one of the most important airlines present in Croatian airports, plans to operate regular international traffic on only three routes to Croatia from the beginning of May. All three lines are to and from Split Airport.
Although the company offered numerous international routes to four Croatian airports at the beginning of this year - Pula, Zadar, Split, and Dubrovnik, the announced flights were not realized.
From April 10 to 24, the airline performed three return flights on the Geneva - Dubrovnik - Geneva line, but there are no flights on this route for May. easyJet plans to resume traffic between Geneva and Dubrovnik only in June.
As for Split Airport, easyJet resumed traffic on the Geneva - Split - Geneva line on April 3, and it will continue to operate in May, once a week, every Saturday.
The Basel - Split - Basel line operated twice a week in April, on Thursdays and Saturdays, while in May it will operate once a week, also on Saturdays.
From May 1, this airline will resume traffic on another route to Split. Namely, from the mentioned date, a line from Berlin will be introduced, which will also have one flight a week - on Saturdays.
All other Croatian airports to which easyJet normally operates in the summer flight schedule in the first half of May will not have regular arrivals by this well-known British airline.
More precisely, out of a total of 42 international routes to the four mentioned airports, there will be only 3 lines in traffic from May 1. A320 aircraft have been announced on the routes, which have a capacity of 180 passengers in this airline's fleet, which means that easyJet will have only 1800 seats available to and from Split Airport next month.
And while easyJet is still working on the summer flight schedule, Ryanair has its schedule for Croatia for the upcoming season. However, the company opened sales on its international routes in the 2021/2022 winter flight schedule. Zagreb is, as expected, the Croatian destination to which Ryanair will operate next winter.
The company has not changed the number of weekly flights on all 12 routes in the winter flight schedule and it looks the same as the schedule announced in September.
Ryanair should perform most flights next winter from Zagreb to London (daily), and fewer weekly operations to Bergamo (4), Brussels (3), Rome (3), Hahn (3), Gothenburg (3), Karlsruhe (3), Dortmund (2), Memmingen (2), Oslo (2), Paris (2) and Podgorica (2).
It remains to be seen whether the company will make certain modifications and introduce or cancel certain lines for next winter, for which, of course, there is enough time.

September 18, 2020 - The latest news for flights to Croatia as easyJet maintains 11 lines to Croatia in October, and Croatia Airlines flies to 15 European destinations.
Croatian Aviation reports that British easyJet has made some changes to its flight schedule. Numerous lines that were announced for October will now stop flying at the end of September. The company will keep 11 lines in October, mostly with a minimum number of weekly operations.
Lines to Zadar and Pula
The company will cut off traffic on two routes to Pula, from Bristol and London Gatwick, by the end of September, while the line from London Luton made its last flight last Saturday (September 12).
It is the same at Zadar Airport. The last flight to Zadar will be operated by easyJet this Saturday (September 19) on the route from Luton, while the route from Gatwick ended with traffic last Saturday. easyJet operated in Pula and Zadar in previous years in October, but this year will not happen.
Lines to Split and Dubrovnik
By the end of September, easyJet will cancel two lines to Split: from Belfast and Amsterdam. The following lines remain in operation:
Split - Basel (until 24.10),
Split - Bristol (until 24.10),
Split - Geneva (until 24.10),
Split - Glasgow (until 25.10),
Split - Gatwick (until 31.10),
Split - Luton (until 24.10),
Split - Manchester (until 27.10.).
Traffic on the mentioned lines will be modest in October, as the company generally announces one flight a week. As for Dubrovnik, easyJet will cancel only one line, Dubrovnik - Geneva, at the end of September, and the following will remain in traffic:
Dubrovnik - Bristol (until 28.10),
Dubrovnik - Edinburgh (until 24.10),
Dubrovnik - Gatwick (until 31.10),
Dubrovnik - Manchester (until 24.10).
The company will also operate on these routes once a week through October, and further cancellations are also possible, depending on the booking for each flight.
Slobodna Dalmacija reports that in October this year, Croatia Airlines will continue to connect Croatia with the most important European capitals and transport hubs, and air connections within Croatia will continue to be provided to passengers on domestic scheduled flights.
During October, the national airline's aircraft will directly connect Croatia with 15 international destinations (Amsterdam, Vienna, Berlin, Brussels, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Copenhagen, London Heathrow, Lyon, Munich, Paris, Rome, Sarajevo, Skopje, and Zurich). Passengers from these traffic hubs are provided with favorable opportunities for connecting flights worldwide, especially on the flights of Croatia Airlines partners from the Star Alliance.
In international regular traffic, Zagreb will be directly connected to 12 European destinations; from Split, it will fly to 10 European capitals, from Dubrovnik to two international destinations. From Rijeka, it will continue to fly to Munich.
In domestic scheduled traffic, Croatia Airlines planes will connect Zagreb with five Croatian airports (Split, Dubrovnik, Zadar, Pula, and Bol on the island of Brac), and flights on the Osijek - Split and Osijek - Dubrovnik routes will continue.
During the peak of the tourist season, the company's planes directly connected Zagreb with 14, Split with 11, and Dubrovnik with 7 international destinations.
It should be emphasized that passengers' flight safety is still a priority in the business of Croatia Airlines. All protection measures, which the company implements against the coronavirus epidemic, are fully compliant with public health authorities and aviation authorities' decisions and recommendations.
The entire aircraft crew must use protective equipment and means (masks, gloves, disinfectants), air enters the aircraft's passenger cabin from the atmosphere and is purified with the most modern filters, and the aircraft is continuously disinfected. Also, passengers must wear face coverings and masks throughout their stay in the passenger cabin, and disinfectant wipes are readily available.
It is worth noting that due to the epidemiological crisis, Croatia Airlines offers its customers flexible conditions regarding the purchase of tickets and travel. In particular, passengers have at their disposal an unlimited number of changes to travel dates, free of charge, as well as a refund in the form of a voucher that can be exchanged for a new ticket within a year of issue.

August 19, 2020 - The latest news from around Croatia’s airports for flights to Croatia with updates for Split, Dubrovnik, and Pula.
Croatian Aviation reports that British low-cost carrier easyJet issued a statement on its website on Tuesday announcing the imminent closure of its three large bases in the UK, solely due to reduced demand caused by the global coronavirus pandemic.
There are two airports in London, Stansted and Southend, and the company's base in Newcastle. From all three mentioned airports, there are direct easyJet flights to Croatia, more precisely, to Pula, Split and Dubrovnik.
“We had to take the very difficult decision to close three UK bases as a result of the unprecedented impact of the pandemic and related travel restrictions, compounded by quarantine measures in the UK which is impacting demand for travel. We would like to reassure customers due to fly from these airports that we are now contacting anyone whose flight is affected with clear advice on their options which include rerouting via alternative airports or receiving a full refund," easyJet CEO, Johan Lundgren, said.
The closure of these bases will happen very soon, as early as September 1, with the announcement that traffic from these airports will resume in the summer flight schedule in 2021. easyJet will operate on the following lines to Croatia until the end of August, and some of them have already been canceled.
easyJet will operate from London (Gatwick Airport) to Dubrovnik, Split and Pula in September, so passengers planning a trip from Stansted or Southend Airport will be able to change their departure airport from London free of charge.
Passengers who have purchased a ticket on the line Newcastle - Split for September, will have to use the line from Manchester to arrive at Split Airport. That line will also run throughout September.
