ZAGREB, February 21, 2018 - Bosnia and Herzegovina's Minister of Security Dragan Mektić said on Tuesday that the number of illegal migrants to that country is rapidly growing and in January alone about 400 migrants entered the country which is half the total number recorded in the entire last year.
ZAGREB, February 20, 2018 - Currently between 40,000 and 50,000 refugees from Afro-Asian countries are staying in the territory between Greece and the border with Croatia, trying to reach Western Europe, however, there are no signs that the migrant crisis of 2015 and 2016 could happen again with the same intensity that shook Europe, representatives of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the International Organisation for Migrations (IOM) said in Sarajevo on Tuesday.
ZAGREB, February 17, 2018 - National police director Nikola Milina on Friday sent Ombudswoman Lora Vidović a letter saying that a nine-year old Afghan boy to whom she referred to in documentation sent to police was accompanied by his father and that the "police never deported any unaccompanied child" but "acted in line with applicable legal provisions."
ZAGREB, February 16, 2018 - The Office of the Ombudswoman stated on Friday that information regarding the police treatment of a nine-year-old unaccompanied migrant "is an example of disregard for rules" and that any further communication on that topic will be conducted exclusively with the Interior Ministry and other relevant agencies.

ZAGREB, January 31 - Croatian police on Tuesday denied claims by Syrian emigrants from the Erica, an Italian fishing boat which sailed into Zelenika, Montenegro under Montenegrin border police escort, that they had arrived from Split, Croatia earlier today, as reported by some media.
