ZAGREB, May 6, 2018 - The coordinating body of Social Democratic Party (SDP) mayors and municipal and county heads discussed a utility services bill with which they are not satisfied, as well as other bills which concern local government and impact their budgets, they said in Čakovec on Saturday at the end of their third meeting.

Opposition Party for Minimum Wage of 4,000 Kuna

ZAGREB, May 1, 2018 - Social Democratic Party (SDP) president Davor Bernardić on Monday wished all Croatian citizens the best on the International Workers' Day, saying the strongest opposition party "has been and will be the biggest protector of workers' rights," and proposing that the minimum wage be raised to 4,000 kuna or 60% of the average wage.

SDP Leader Criticises Government, Živi Zid

ZAGREB, April 30, 2018 - Despite polls indicating that the Social Democratic Party's (SDP) rating is falling while that of Živi Zid is growing and is within 4% of the SDP, the party's leader Davor Bernardić said on Monday that the SDP is growing and strengthening whereas the Živi Zid is a protest party that doesn't have a stance on important matters such as anti-fascism, violence against women, relations with the Church, religious instruction in schools, abortion or the LGBT community.
