ZAGREB, September 18, 2018 - The Presidency and parliamentary group of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) met on Monday but failed to agree on how to resolve the crisis the party is in, with president Davor Bernardić saying he did not intend to resign and that big business and import lobbies were trying to take him down.

ZAGREB, September 15, 2018 - The Social Democratic Party (SDP) top officials gathered on Friday afternoon at an unknown location outside Zagreb to try to persuade party president Davor Bernardić to resign over the party's dissatisfaction with his leadership and poor ratings.

ZAGREB, September 8, 2018 - An informal group of 81 members of the opposition Social Democratic Party (SDP) on Friday called on party chief Davor Bernardić to step down immediately over "his disastrous leadership" and his causing a major decline in the party ratings, demanding that elections for new party bodies be held by the end of the year and that all sanctions imposed on party members who have spoken critically about the situation in the SDP be withdrawn.

ZAGREB, Aug 28, 2018 - A member of the opposition Social Democratic Party's (SDP) presidency and parliament Bojan Glavašević left the party on Monday, dissatisfied that "the SDP, such as it has become, can't give an answer to even one important question regarding Croatia's future."
