More New Flights to Croatia, as Airlines Gear Up for Bumper 2016 Season

The 2016 flight announcements keep on coming - here are the latest.

As Croatia and Dalmatia continue to impress at this year's World Travel Market in London, from where it has emerged that some 560,000 British tourists are planning to visit Croatia next year, airlines are responding to the expected increase in demand, with several more new routes added, reports Aerocroatia on November 4, 2015.

The three coastal Dalmatian airports of Zadar, Split and Dubrovnik have all seen significant increases in oassenger traffic in recent years, and this looks set to continue. In the latest round of announcment, Eastern Airways will connect Humberside with Dubrovnik for the first time, with weekly flights starting in late May; Luxair will build on their existing connection to Dubrovnik from Luxemburg by adding a route to Zadar, commencing on May 2; and the historic cities of Athens and Split will be connected by twice a week by Aegean Air from mid-June to late September.
