Croatia welcomed in 2017 at midnight with celebrations across the country. The cities were full, the celebrations were large, and not only Croatian’s took part in the holiday fun.
The New Year in Croatia welcomed 60,210 tourists, of which 44,390 were foreign tourists, reports Index.hr on January 1, 2017 from a report by the Ministry of Tourism on Sunday. Most foreign tourists came from Austria, Italy, Slovenia, Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Switzerland, Hungary, USA and Serbia.

The most visited destinations for the New Year were Zagreb, Porec, Opatija, Mali Losinj, Umag, Split, Rovinj, Labin and Zadar.
As of this morning, eVisitor data also show that hotels were visited by 43,825 tourists, camps were visited by 983 tourists, and 8,295 tourists stayed in household facilities.
