The expansion of FlixBus from day one - when it launched with four international routes from Zagreb, Split, Rijeka and Pula - has today expanded to five Croatian coach partners from Slavonia, Dalmatia, Istria, Zagorje and Zagreb. FlixBus now connects all parts of Croatia with major businesses, and cultural and entertainment centers directly in Munich, Vienna, Budapest, Frankfurt, Milan, Turin, Rome, Ljubljana and many others.
HRTurizam reports on January 23, 2017 that Croatia is currently directly connected (without stops) via 100 cities with seven neighboring countries. With stops to major FlixBus hubs, however, passengers have a far larger range of accessible destinations. Thus, at the moment, Zagreb is connected with 450 destinations, and in addition to these 7 countries (Slovenia, Italy, Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary and Switzerland), one could easily arrive to France, Romania, Slovakia, Poland, the Netherlands and Denmark from Zagreb.
“All prior preparation and research for the entry of FlixBus in Croatia and the rest of the region were discussed in detail with many studies by the entire team and support from the main branch of FlixBus. Therefore, we are proud of the speed and course of the business development. We outlined a sustainable path and the steps to achieve the objective, which is the European No.1,” said Dean Čebohin, who concluded that globally, FlixBus has 100,000 connections to 900 destinations in 20 countries and provides trouble-free travel for nearly 35 million passengers. Croatia is grateful to be a part of it.
The FlixBus team works behind the scenes on network planning, development quality, investing in high technology and software, customer service issues, traffic management, and marketing and sales development. The team is the background machinery responsible for connecting 1,000 destinations in 20 European countries through 100,000 daily connections.
"Everyday we are developing a network with a growing number of available destinations, not only in Zagreb, but also in other Croatian and European cities which are made available seven times a week," concludes Petra Milinović, head of public relations for FlixBus.
