8th October 2017, Sunday, time to sit back and relax; let this beautiful video transport you to the island Šolta and get ready to book another trip.
I have said it before and I will say it again, today is Sunday and regardless of where in the world you are or what job you work in – even if that means that Sunday isn’t your day off – Sunday always has that Sunday vibe.
So, rather than giving you a reading assignment, I wanted to share this fun video with you. If you have been following some of my articles this year, you will notice that I have a new crush – island Šolta. The Telegraph named it as one of Europe’s 17 Best Secret Islands and earlier in the season I wrote about the World of Adventure it hides.
And, at the beginning of September, I got to experience it for myself when I caught the (45 minutes) ferry from Split to spend a day on Šolta, you would be surprised what you can achieve in just 12-hours!
While I think I did Šolta justice with my words and photos, I know that most people are visual creatures and as the years move on, our attention spans wane so storytelling through video is becoming the norm, it also gives a feeling that sometimes words cannot.
Now, I am no videographer, these are genuine snippets captured by me throughout the day; thankfully, a talented woman named Miranda Bradbury (yes, Paul's better-half) managed to take all of my videos and create this, enjoy...
Convinced of Šolta's beauty? Well, the season is not over, ferries are still running daily and right now is the perfect time to explore the many tracks around the island – by foot or bike or even join in the olive harvest (until October 15th).
