Beginning today through July 31, 30 parachutists from all over Croatia will showcase their parashuting skills at the Sinj airport. Welcome to the 26th edition of the Sinj Parachuting Cup.
The competition rules for this year have remained unchanged, and contestants will compete under various categories, with each day giving the contestants new challenges and jumps.
The goal for the contestants is to form a ring, a perfect bullseye that is 32 centimeters in diameters. In the case of a tie between parachuting contestants, the judicial team will add another centimeter in order to measure new results.
At the end of each day of the competition a winner will be declared, and after the competition is completed a winner will be chosen for the entirety of the cup.
As in previous years, there is expected to be a close fight between teams Cummulus, Graviton and Sinj.
"This year our athletes expect good results, primarily of Grčić, Bašić and Ugrin, and then Vuković whom we missed last year. Young paratroopers to look out for are Jagnjić and Kovačević, who last year demonstrated exceptional capacity, and this year have shown more progress,” said the director of Zvonko Kovačević.
