Two great new connections for 2017 to the Croatian capital have been announced on September 13, 2016.
While seasonal flights announcements to the Adriatic coastal airports of Pula, Rijeka, Zadar, Split and Dubrovnik airports are quite common, Croatia's busiest airport in Zagreb tends to get overlooked with these seasonal tourist flights, but two very useful additions to the Zagreb schedule have been announced on various flight portals, as Monarch Airlines is set to expand its operations in Croatia for the 2017 season.
The new flights, which are yet to appear on the official Monarch site, will be from Manchester and London Gatwick to the Croatian capital, starting in late April, as follows:
London Gatwick, three times a week - Monday, Wednesday, Friday
Manchester, twice a week - Monday, Saturday
Croatia is experiencing a boom in its airport business, with 2016 set to be the busiest year in history for passenger traffic. New terminals are close to completion in both Dubrovnik and Zagreb, while Split is set to start its urgently needed construction of a new terminal next month.
