The KulTourSpirit project, which was recently introduced in Pazin, is a joint product of the cities and municipalities of central Istria which aims to integrate and revitalize certain cultural goods to their areas.
The project partners are linked with Istra Inspirit, which is precisely the common denominator that recognizes the quality and worth of financing from EU funds in the amount of up to 5 million kuna. The project aims to integrate and revitalize certain facilities in Pazin, Svetvinčenat, Dvigrad and Buzet through the storytelling that Istra Inspirit has already carried out in the region, reports HRTurizam on February 24, 2017.
"That is the way to revive the authentic Istrian stories and legends, and through them the experience and emotion will be presented to visitors all year round,” says Istra Inspirit.
The project was provided funding for the production of documents in order to convert part of the Pazin castle into a “House of Istrian stories and legends”, to repair the bell tower, and to develop a management plan for the old town of Pazin. Buzet will prepare documentation for the arrangement of the Palace Moretti, which will be converted into a center of traditional crafts, while House Karolina will be Karolina's house of healing herbs. The municipality of Kanfanar will prepare documentation for arranging the Archaeological Park Dvigrad, while Svetvinčenat will prepare to arrange the surroundings of the castle Grimani Morosini and the entire old town.
One of the expected results of the project is the study of integrated development based on the cultural heritage, as well as the feasibility study with cost-benefit analysis which will benefit Istria County. Istria Inspirit will work on developing a common brand through the design and implementation of communication and marketing strategies for all sites involved in the project. The realization of KulTourSpirit will achieve one of the goals of Istra Inspirit which includes the continuation of innovative interpretations of cultural heritage across the peninsula.
Istra Inspirit is one of the best tourist stories in the world, as was confirmed by UNWTO when the entire project was ranked among the 28 best world tourist stories in the UNWTO book.
