Minister: Money Managed by Pension Funds Has to Boost GDP Growth

ZAGREB, September 9, 2019 - Economy Minister Darko Horvat has underscored that liquid funds managed by compulsory pension funds (OMF) are supposed to primarily boost Croatia's GDP growth, adding that that the government can immediately present some 30 projects for OMFs to invest in. Ecological Agricultural Production Rising in Croatia

ZAGREB, September 9, 2019 - Croatia is near the top of EU rankings in ecological agricultural production growth but still lags behind in ecological food consumption, which is three times higher in the EU, the Croatian Chamber of Commerce (HGK) said on Monday. Because of the fast-growing market, ecological production is increasingly attractive to domestic farmers, as farmland with such production has grown ten times in the past ten years, said Žaklina Jurišić, an assistant director at the HGK. Croatian Small Businesses to Participate in Celje Trade Fair

ZAGREB, September 9, 2019 - Twenty-two Croatian small businesses will participate in the 52nd International Trade Fair in Celje, Slovenia next week, representatives of the Trade Fair, Slovenia's Chamber of Craft and Small Business and the Croatian Chamber of Trades and Crafts (HOK) have announced. Value of Construction Work Performed in Croatia up 10.6%

ZAGREB, September 8, 2019 - The value of construction work in Croatia, performed by companies employing 20 workers or more, increased by 10.6% in the second quarter of 2019 compared with the same period in 2018, while at the same time the value of new orders increased by 3.7%, data from the National Bureau of Statistics (DZS) show.
