10-Year Project of Croatia’s Construction Land Survey to Cost €400M

ZAGREB, 24 Oct, 2021 - Over three billion kuna will have to be spent on a ten-year project of the construction land survey across Croatia, and currently there are only a score of businesses licenced to perform that job, the Jutarnji List daily reported on Sunday. According to the daily, the construction land is large about 600,000 hectares. The newspaper says that this will be the job of the century for licenced land surveyors, and that the project, which should start on 1 November, will cost more than the building of Pelješac Bridge, for instance. Close to 30% of Businesses Have No Employees

ZAGREB, 23 Oct, 2021 - Close to 30% of companies in Croatia did not have any employees in 2020 when of 139,009 businesses, 41,595  (29.9%) did not have workers, the Financial Agency (FINA) has said in a report which is based on processed annual financial statements. A total of 37,865 of the 41,595 businesses without employees operated normally, 1,273 were undergoing liquidation, and 2,457 were undergoing bankruptcy proceedings. A total of 17,438 businesses operated at a profit while 24,157 reported losses. Startup Factory Begins Operations at ZICER Centre

ZAGREB, 22 Oct 2021 - The sixth generation of the first Croatian startup accelerator was presented at the Zagreb Innovation Centre (ZICER) on Friday, marking the start of operation of the new "Startup Factory." ZSE Indices Drop Amid Modest Trading

ZAGREB, 21 Oct 2021 - The main Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) indices fell on Thursday amid modest trading, with the Crobex dropping by 0.16% to 2,046 points and the Crobex10 decreasing by 0.25% to 1,243 points. Regular turnover was just over HRK 4 million, or HRK 500,000 less than on Wednesday. No stock passed the million kuna mark in turnover.
