Croatian Pharmaceutical Companies Increase Profit and Revenue in 2020

August the 29th, 2021 - Croatian pharmaceutical companies rather unsurprisingly did better than the vast majority of other sectors in pandemic-dominated 2020, raising their profit and revenue considerably. As Marina Klepo/Novac writes, out of 364 Croatian pharmaceutical companies currently in operation, 339 of them ended the dire year of 2020 with a profit, increasing it by 9.3 percent compared to 2019, to a total of 285.4 million kuna. A Few Hundred Rally in Protest Against Detrimental Effects of Lešće Power Plant

ZAGREB, 28 Aug, 2021 - A protest rally was held in the town of Novigrad na Dobri on Saturday against the hydro-power plant "HE Lešće" on the River Dobra, with protesters pointing out the plant's detrimental effects. 30th Anniversary of HRT Cameraman Kaić’s Killing in Osijek Commemorated

ZAGREB, 28 Aug, 2021 - Wreath-laying ceremonies were held on Saturday in Osijek at the "Last Shot" monument erected in memory of HRT cameraman Žarko Kaić, killed by the Yugoslav People's Army (JNA) in that eastern Croatian city on 28 August 1991. Kaic lost his life in the suburb of Brijest when fire was opened from a JNA armoured fighting vehicle at the HRT crew that was covering the passage of a JNA column of tanks through Osijek. 3-Day Entertainment Events Held at River Kupa in Sisak

ZAGREB, 28 Aug, 2021 - The sports and entertainment programme called "Nights at the Kupa" are being held on the banks of the River Kupa in the city of Sisak from 27 to 29 August.
