Croatia About to Come into Conflict with NATO, Says Komšić

Croatia's New Car Sales in January-May 2021 up 44% y-o-y

ZAGREB, 13 June, 2021 - A total of 19,167 new passenger cars were sold in Croatia in January-May 2021, a 44.3% increase from the same period last year, and 4,483 new vehicles were sold in May 2021 alone, over twice as many as in May 2020, show the data released by the Promocija Plus market research agency last Monday. Croatian Gymnasts Win Two Golds, Bronze and Silver at World Cup in Osijek

ZAGREB, 13 June, 2021 - Croatian gymnast Ana Đerek won the gold medal in the women's floor exercise and the bronze medal in the balance beam exercise while Tin Srbić won men's high bar gold on Sunday, the last day of the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup in the eastern Croatian city of Osijek. Tenth VegeSajam Fair to be Held in Zagreb on 15 June

ZAGREB, 13 June, 2021 - The 10th edition of the VegeSajam vegan fair will be held in Zagreb's main square on 15 June. This year's VegeSajam will showcase many vegan products, including vegan sausages, salami, different spreads, burgers, biscuits, cakes, sandwiches and various dishes, the Friends of Animals nongovernmental organisation, which organises the event, said. Croatia Logs 59 New COVID-19 Cases

ZAGREB, 13 June, 2021 - In the past 24 hours, Croatia has registered 59 new COVID-19 cases, the national COVID-19 response team said on Sunday. A total of 358,563 cases of coronavirus have been registered in the country since the outbreak of the disease in February 2020. Currently, 5,783 people are in self-isolation. To date, a total of 2,078,716 people have been tested for the virus, including 4,489 in the past 24 hours. SDP Main Committee Dissolves Party Branches in Zagreb and Slavonski Brod

ZAGREB, 13 June, 2021 - The Social Democratic Party (SDP) Main Committee on Saturday confirmed the SDP Presidency decision to dissolve the party branches in Zagreb and Slavonski Brod as well as the SDP Međimurje County branch, with party leader Peđa Grbin saying the SDP had to change first if it wanted to change Croatia.
