Judiciary Must Not Be Stigmatised by Actions of Individual Judges - UHS

ZAGREB, 11 June 2021 - The Association of Croatian Judges (UHS) on Friday said that it had urged to the relevant authorities to determine the facts in individual cases in which individual judges were suspected of criminal offences without any further delay. ECHR: Croatia Violated Property Rights in Cases of Special Protected Tenancy

ZAGREB, 11 June 2021 - The inability for owners of properties occupied by protected tenants to charge adequate rent for the lease of their flats represents a violation of their right to peacefully enjoy their property, the European Court for Human Rights (ECHR) has concluded. In its ruling in a case filed by two applicants from Croatia, the court found that the state had violated the right to peaceful enjoyment of properties occupied by protected tenants. Number of Insured Persons in Croatia in May Up by 3.3% YOY

ZAGREB, 11 June 2021 - The number of insured persons registered with the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute (HZMO) increased to 1,573 949 in May 2021, or 3.3% more than in May 2020, thus rising for four months in a row, the HZMO reported on Friday. Broken down by business activity, the highest number, 245,053, are in the processing industry, and 239,352 in the wholesale and retail trade sector. In comparison to May 2020, the highest increase of 8,200 more insured persons was registered in the construction industry, and 7,730 more in the hospitality and catering industry. Average Net Pay in Zagreb in March Higher by €162 Than Croatia's Average

ZAGREB, 11 June 2021 - The average net pay of employees in legal entities in the city of Zagreb in March 2021 totalled HRK 8,352, which is an increase of 7.5% in the nominal terms year-on-year, show data from the provided by Zagreb's City Office for the Strategic Planning and the Development on Friday. Compared with Croatia's average monthly net salary in March, which was HRK 7,138, the average net salary in Zagreb was higher by HRK 1,214. Over €800m Invested in Islands in Last Five Years from State Budget

ZAGREB, 11 June 2021 - More than six billion kuna were invested from national funds into different activities and projects for the islands in the 2016-2020 period, the Regional Development Ministry's State Secretary, Spomenka Đurić, told the Croatian parliament,on Friday. Croatia's Coronavirus Update: 134 New Cases, 13 Deaths, 204 Recoveries

ZAGREB, 11 June 2021 - In the last 24 hours, of 4,083 tests performed for coronavirus, 3.3%, that is 134, have returned as positive, and there have been 13 more COVID-related deaths increasing the death toll to 8,123, the Croatian COVID-19 crisis management team reported on Friday. WB, HBOR Ink €200 HEAL Scheme to Help Croatian Businesses to Have Access to Liquidity
