Croatia Kvarner Region Tourist Traffic Up 50 Percent in 10 Years

Kvarner's tourist traffic numbers continue their upward trajectory. The Kvarner region, located in Northwestern Croatia, finished 2019 with 3.1 million arrivals and 19.1 million overnight stays. Compared to 2018, there were 2% more arrivals and 1% more overnights. Overnights also increased by 3% compared to 2017, 13% compared to 2016 and 50% compared to 2010. During peak season, overnight stays remained at last year's levels, with an average occupancy of 25 days, and 30 days at hotels. Double Digit Increase in 2019 Tourist Stats in Zagreb County

ZAGREB, January 8, 2020 - During 2019, as many as 140,000 tourists visited Zagreb County and made 230,000 overnight stays, which was a 14% and a 12% annual rise respectively, according to figures provided by the county authorities based on statistical figures collected by the eVisitor system. Increased Tourist Turnover for Christmas, New Year

ZAGREB, January 7, 2020 - During the Christmas and New Year holidays 238,000 tourist arrivals and 621,000 bed nights were recorded, which is an increase of 8% compared to the same period last year, the Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ) said on Tuesday. Zagreb County Tourist Board Moving Towards Innovative Tourism Trends

January 5, 2019 - In 2019, Zagreb County recorded 139,720 tourist arrivals, which is 14 percent more than in the same period in 2018 (123,008). The number of overnights also increased by 12 percent, from 205,003 to 229,827. Out of the total number of arrivals, 107,821 were foreign guests who achieved 69,732 overnights, while Croatian guests achieved 31,899 arrivals and 60,095 overnights.
