Zagreb's Hotel Esplanade Included in the List of Grandest Historic Hotels

Website Far and Wide recently published a list of "Europe's Grandest and Greatest Historic Hotels", and one of the best Croatian hotels was included in the list. We all know that Zagreb's Hotel Esplanade, located very close to Zagreb's Central Train Station is an amazing hotel, with long (and celebrated) history, but still - it's nice when those facts get re-affirmed by an American website (sometimes we get a bit carried away and are prone to idolizing the beauty and grandure of Croatia and everything in it). In addition to Hotel Esplanade, the list includes Hotel Sacher (Vienna), Hotel Metropole…

Spectacular Sibenik the Latest Croatian Destination by Cities in 4k (VIDEO)

Cities in 4K reaches Sibenik on February 19, 2019, with a quality video to match this underrated Dalmatian gem in its video series of Croatian destinations. It was the great surprise of the summer of 2017 for me.  Although I had had very brief visits to the city fo Sibenik in previous years, it was the first time I had actually spent time in the old city and visited its fortresses.  I was stunned. While all the media was raving about Dubrovnik, Split, Pula and Zadar as the top coastal city destinations, here was a city out of the limelight,…
