It might be the most used word in the hinterland - pršut. Especially nowadays, when there is a lot going on regarding the decision of the European Commission to protect the Dalmatian Pršut. A strong tradition in making this delicacy is present in many parts of the Inland Dalmatia, Sinj is one of them.
The 11th National Fair for Pršut and Cured Meat Products Sinj 2016 will take place on March 19 and 20, 2016 at the Hotel Alkar in Sinj. Organized by the Venture Centre Sinj and the Split-Dalmatia County, this year´s fair will be held under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Croatia Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović and the Ministry of Agriculture and several other ministries and state institutions. Along with pršut, there will be plenty of other local homemade delicacies for everyone to taste - homemade bread, uštipci (donuts), bacon, chees and some good red wine.
