The 27th Alka Parachute Cup Begins Today at Sinj Airport!

The event will take place all weekend at Sinj Airport!

This weekend from July 28-30, the 27th edition of the oldest Croatian parachuting competition will take place at the Sinj Airport. Approximately 50 parachuters from 10 clubs are expected.

Traditionally, the last weekend in July is reserved for this parachuting competition and therefore this year, the Sinj Airport will again host the best parachuters from Croatia and the neighboring countries.

For those that are unfamiliar will the competition, parachuters will compete with one another by jumping out a plane that is 1,000 meters high. The ultimate goal of the parachuter is to hit the alka target as precisely as possible, which is a diameter of 32 cm. In the event of a tie, centimeters will be added by the judges. 

Parachuting Bara, Čoja and Alka will be held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and a winner will be declared on each individual day. 

The winner of the 27th Alka Parachute Cup will be declared on Saturday and Sunday.

The event is organized by Aeroklub Sinj.
