The PUT Business Travel Exchange, which is held every year in a different Croatian destination, was held in Split this year and saw the attendance of the Sinj and Vrlika Tourist Boards.
From November 15 to 17, 2017, in cooperation with the Association of Croatian Travel Agencies UHPA and the Split and Split-Dalmatia County Tourist Boards, the 19th Business and Tourism Exchange 'PUT' was held at the Hotel Park in Split.
The event brought together employees from travel agencies, hotel providers, tourist service providers, tourism community systems and tourism journalists.
PUT has become one of the most critical business tourist gatherings in Croatia, as confirmed by the number of participants this year. Namely, 150 participants from 90 business entities in six countries (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia) gathered in Split.
The event aimed to present the Croatian tourist offer to domestic and foreign travel organizers and to get acquainted with the news and programs prepared for the tourist year in 2018.
On Thursday, November 16, 2017, the event saw the celebration of the annual ‘Simply The Best’ awards, which are given to the best in tourism by the Association of Croatian Travel Agencies and the specialized travel magazine 'Way to Croatia'. The awards are given for creativity, innovation and the development and improvement of the overall offer of a tourist destination.
On the third day of the exchange, participants attended lectures on the role of guides for adventure travel and ways to create unique and unforgettable experiences for our tourists.
The Tourist Board of Sinj and Vrlika participated in the event as exhibitors. Director of the Sinj Tourist Board Monika Vrgoč and Vrlika's Dijana Maraš presented the tourism offer of the region, the local and autochthonous products, and established business contacts that should result in additional tourist arrivals in each of the destinations presented.
