On April 24, 2018, as part of the permanent tourism promotion, the Croatian National Tourist Board and the Split-Dalmatia County Tourist Board, in cooperation with local tourist communities, enabled the arrival of TV journalists and filmmakers of the state-run Italian television company RAI 3. Italian representatives Diane Corati and Maja Celija visited the city of Sinj and Trilj.
Due to the increasing number of Italian tourist arrivals in the Split-Dalmatia County area and the need for better information, journalists Diana Corati and Maja Celija filmed the TV program ‘Holiday in Dalmazia’, between sport and nature. This reportage is dedicated to the natural beauty, cultural heritage, active vacation and enogastronomic offer of the Dalmatia region.
Corati and Celija arrived at Indland Dalmatia with the well-known tourist guide Dino Ivančić. The tour started in Trilj where the journalists were welcomed by Andriana Ivković, director of the Trilj Tourist Board. Corati and Celija visited the Grab mills, the source of the river Grab, the archaeological site Tilurium on Gardun, St. Peter's church, the medieval tower Nutjak and the bridge.
The Italian journalists then visited Sinj, where they were hosted by Monika Vrgoč, director of the Sinj Tourist Board. The tour of the city started at King Tomislav Square by the bronze door of the Church of the Miraculous Lady of Sinj, the work of the academic sculptor Stipe Sikirica. A visit to the Sanctuary of the Miraculous Lady of Sinj followed, and the Italian journalists continued to film the affair on the streets of Sinj.
Corati and Celija also met the antique statue 'Gaja Laberia' on Vrlička Street and learned about the "beginnings" of football in the Cetina Krajina. They were especially delighted by the modern and interactive design of the Sinjska Alka Museum and the crossroads at the foot of the City Fortress. Next came a panorama of Sinj and the whole Cetina region.
This reportage will be broadcast on the Alle falde del Kilimangiaro show, TV RAI 3, which is a high-performing show of 1,500,000 viewers. The program itself showcases the interesting tourist offerings from around the world.
