First Sinj Trail A Success!

Did you participate in the very first Sinj Trail?

Members of the Cetina Adventure Club in Sinj and its surroundings hosted a somewhat unusual event last weekend, which marked the relatively calm Saturday morning with the thunderous sound of runners. The very first Sinj Trail was held last weekend which commenced the racing season. The first Sinj Trail, where runners in the most challenging category trekked on for 35 kilometers, was a total success.

While the first (and toughest) race began at 9:30, shortly afterward, at precisely 10:00, the same thunderous sound marked the start of the second category, which was 22 kilometers in length. At 11:30, the beginning of the least challenging class, the 11-kilometer race took place.

More than 240 runners of all ages from all over Croatia and the neighboring Bosnia and Herzegovina competed in this race, which made the event complete.

The race started from the bottom of Pijaca, and the race itself stretched across the Old Town, Pavić Nebesa, Radošić and Lučane, the Visoka and Visošnica mountains, and the Sutin and Bukovac canyons.

The finish of the race was at the town swimming pool in Sinj, where there was a lunch, an entertainment program, and an awards ceremony for the winner. The results can be seen at www.cetinaadventure.hr.
