National Championships of Olympic XCO Cycling Held in Otok this Weekend!

By 20 July 2018

On Sunday, July 22, the National Championships in Olympic XCO cycling will be held in Otok.

By organizing the XCO 'Vučja staza' race last year, not only was a good mark left in the memories of all competitors, but also in the supreme cycling organization in Croatia, our HBS.

This year, they have been able to organize a national championship in this discipline, which means that on Sunday, cyclists await the masters of this mountain biking discipline. At the end of this race, the winner will be the national champion for 2018 in all recreational and competitive categories.

"Nothing would be of great importance without competitors and various sports enthusiasts, so we invite you to join us," says the Kamenica cycling team.

The 'Vučja staza' starts in the center of Otok and is 4.130m in length with a height difference of 160m (these values refer to a single loop).

“It is a trail without rest where full-length changes of rhythms and ups and downs on technically demanding parts are present. Jumps, bends, bridges, serpentines, rock gardens, singletracks, and wide paths await you! If you think you saw it all last year, come back - the track has been significantly changed and made according to the highest standards for this type of competition. We'll see you in Otok,” the organizers said.
