Due to the vibrant material and immaterial cultural heritage, as well as a variety of cultural events, Sinj and the Cetina region have long been crowned on the Croatian tourist map. Thanks to their aspirations for sustainable tourism, and the coexistence of carefully designed activities both hosts and guests enjoy alike, the events in the Alka City always draw attention and attract more and more visitors.
One of these events is the Musical Evenings at the Kamičak Fort.
The fortress which developed today's Sinj was built in 1712 as a starry bastion filled with earth. There is a tower on the fort, which served as an observation tower, a clock that is still fully functional, and a bell excavated in one of the most famous foundries of Colbachini in the Veneto region of Italy. At the unique fortress of Kamičak, with a beautiful stage under the clear sky, concerts of classical, traditional and jazz music are organized. With this approach, these, perhaps somewhat neglected, musical excerpts are popularized, and where better than in Sinj, a city with rich musical tradition.

The Sinj Tourist Board has organized successful and extremely well-attended concerts for several years now. This authentic location saw concerts by the "Ivan Goran Kovačić" Academy of Accordion Orchestra, Sara Renar, the Jazz Swing Quintet "Repassage", Puamos Quintet "Kalamos”, and in 2017, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Croatia, the unique Samobor percussion ensemble "Sudar Percussion ", which raised the quality scale for future acts with their performance.

All of these performances provoked true enthusiasm, and the ambiance of the old fortress under the stars showed the real Sinj.
The Musical Evenings at Kamičak Fort are scheduled for August 18, 2018, starting at 20:30 and ending at 23:00. The best of traditional music will be presented by renowned performers, Dunja Knebl, with Kololira and Veja. The entrance is free!
