Total Croatia News Speaking at 17th HUOJ PR Conference: Croatian Tourism Through Foreign Eyes

TCN is delighted to be invited to speak at the 17th Croatian Public Relations Asocciation (CPRA) conference on a panel called Times of Change: Croatian Tourism through Foreign Eyes.

Another month, another conference speaking engagement, and I have to say that I am a little encouraged. After years of working in tourism where the foreigner's opinion does not matter, it seems that finally some people are reaching out to at least hear what we have to say in relation to tourism.

After 14 years of no public speaking, I finally spoke at the UHPA (Croatian Association of Travel Agents) conference on sustainable tourism last month in Zagreb, which was followed by a panel discussion on How to Create a Cool Destination at the 2nd Croatian Tourism Conference in Makarska last week. The CPRA conference, which will take place from May 19 to 21 2016 in Novi Spa Hotels and Resort in Novi Vinodolski is officially presented as follows:

"Conference every year gathers up to 200 experts in the field of public relations and is the most important annual gathering of expert for public relations of the private, public and non-governmental sectors and agencies of the Croatian, but also abroad. The conference is an excellent opportunity to all those who have contact with public relations or use the services of experts in public relations that, through lectures by distinguished domestic and foreign experts, information on new trends in the profession."

TCN will speaking on a panel 'Times of Change: Croatian Tourism through Foreign Eyes' on May 21 at 11:00, with an interesting collection of other panel members: European Coastal Airlines CEO Captain Klaus Dieter Martin, editor of The Dubrovnik Times, Mark Thomas, co-founder of Tour of Croatia Vladimir Miholjević (I look forward to a discussion on cooperation for our new venture, Total Croatia Cycling), and Pascal Tang, whose viral video about his holiday in Croatia resulted in a meeting with Croatian National Tourist Board director, Ratomir Ivicic in Paris, the day after it went viral, and led to an invitation to Slavonia and Baranja, where Pascal and friends made another video - you can read TCN's interview with Pascal here
