Horse-Driven Carriages Arrive in Marian Shrine of Marija Bistrica for Pilgrimage

ZAGREB, 21 August, 2022 - The traditional 20th pilgrimage of horse-ridden carriages and horsemen was held in Croatia's central Marian shrine of Marija Bistrica on Sunday, and the event called "Vozočašće" in Croatian was organised by the horse breeders association in Krapina-Zagorje County. Robo Race Held on Eve of Final Race of Barban's Traditional Equestrian Tournament

55 Foreign Cruise Ships Visit Adriatic in 1st Half of 2022

ZAGREB, 19 August, 2022 - In the first half of 2022, 55 foreign ships with 189,000 passengers made 240 cruise trips in Croatia's Adriatic, according to national statistical office data. Last year, due to COVID restrictions, there were only 15 cruise ships with 8,000 passengers. The passengers in this year's first half stayed in Croatia for 466 days or 423 more than in H1 2021. In H1 2021, all foreign ship cruises were registered in June, whereas this past June, there were 105 cruises with 92,000 passengers.
