From 2022, No More Toll Payment Queues on Croatian Motorways

Starting from 2022, the tolls on motorways managed by Croatian Motorways (HAC) and the Rijeka-Zagreb Motorway (ARZ) companies will be charged by the DSRC system (Dedicated Short-Range Communications) or via the Automatic License Plate Reader (ALPR) system. The new toll collection system has been recommended by Spanish consultants from IDOM Consulting, who won the tender announced by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure to develop the new toll collection system, reports Večernji List on January 14, 2019. Croatian Airports Report 10.3% More Passengers in Jan-Nov 2018

ZAGREB, January 14, 2019 - Croatian airports recorded a total of 10.2 million passengers in the first eleven months of 2018, or 10.3 percent more than in the same period of 2017, data from the National Bureau of Statistics (DZS) show. In November alone, 320,000 passengers were recorded, up 5.3 percent year on year. The busiest was Zagreb airport with 232,000 passengers (+4.4 percent), followed by Split airport with 53,000 (+41.8 percent). Among all nine airports in Croatia, the largest increase, of 88.3 percent, was posted by Rijeka's airport on the nearby island of Krk, with a relatively small number…

Karlovac Area Castles Seeking EU Money for Reconstruction

“The Bosiljevo castle is the cornerstone of the development and life in our municipality. ZAGREB, January 11 (Hina) - The Community of Tourist Guide Associations of Croatia (ZDTVH) has stated that it is organising the project "Get to know your country ("Upoznaj svoju zemlju") on Sunday, on the occasion of 15 January when Croatia observes the day of its international recognition.
