The ski season is expected to be busier than ever for Croatians. Bookings already started back in August, when most Croatians sought Andalo, Italy for a 6-day lift ticket that cost them only 140 euro. Some 200,000 Croats are expected to head to the slopes for their ski holidays this weekend.

Korean Air Introduces Dreamliner for Zagreb-Seoul Winter Operations

From the beginning of 2019, Korean Air introduced the Dreamliner Boeing 787-9 aircraft for winter operations on the popular Zagreb-Seoul route, reports AvioRadar and Ex Yu Aviation on January 4, 2018.  Recall, Korean Air launched the route between Zagreb and Seoul in September 2018, which was also the first service between Croatia and East Asia directly. Split to Increase Entry Fee for Tourist Buses into City Center

The City of Split announced a 5 million kuna public tender for the contractor for a new, temporary bus and train station in Kopilica, as well as for a total of four parking and car parking areas. 13% More Tourists Visited Croatia During Holiday Season

ZAGREB, January 2, 2019 - Over 159,000 tourists visited Croatia during the Christmas and New Year holidays, generating 385,500 overnights, the Croatian Tourist Board (HTZ) said on Wednesday. Between December 21 and 31, 159,031 arrivals and 385,514 bed nights were recorded, which are respective increases of 13 percent and nine percent compared with the same time in 2017, HTZ said. Foreign tourists accounted for 114,000 arrivals (+14%) and 289,000 bed nights (+12%). Most of the bed nights were generated by holidaymakers from Austria (56,000), followed by those from Slovenia (43,000), Italy (36,000), Germany (33,000) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (22,000). The…

Zagreb Advent Growth Slows Down Compared to Last Year

The latest statistics of the ninth edition of the Zagreb Advent festival which will end in a few days show further marketing effect from winning the title of the Best European Advent Destination over the past three years, reports Poslovni.hr on January 2, 2019. 6.5% More Tourist Arrivals, 4% More Overnights in 2018, HTZ Says

ZAGREB, January 1, 2019 - Croatia recorded 19.7 million tourist arrivals and over 106 million overnights throughout 2018, which was respectively by 6.5% and 4% more than in 2017. These statistics were presented by the director of the Croatian National Tourism Board (HTZ), Kristjan Staničić, in the resort of Opatija on the first day of 2019. Croatia Airlines Turning Zagreb-Dublin to Year-Round Service

December 31, 2018 - Great news for Irish tourists and the ever larger Croatian diaspora in Ireland, as Croatia Airlines will operate its Zagreb to Dublin service all year.
