There is a beach for everyone on Hvar: pebbles, sand, big flat stones, northern side, southern side, for nudists, for kids, for cliff jumping, after beach parties, big ones, smaller ones, hidden, popular..., the list goes on and on. There are too many..
The beauty of being on the island in September lies (among other things) in having the beaches almost to ourselves. The weather is just perfect - the sun is providing the ideal amount of hot rays for us to bath in, the sea has the perfect temperature and the beaches are empty and gorgeous.
Like this one today - The Žutica beach in Gromin Dolac (or just before Gromin Dolac to be precise).

It is located on the southern side of the island and is reachable after getting through the Pitve-Zavala tunnel and a sharp left turn at the Zavala church, following a rough track up to a point of a small parking place on the left side of the road (where you have to leave your car and continue down to the beach by foot).
I am really not sure, whether it is the southern side, or those perfect round pebbles, or the unique master piece on the storage door, but this place has such a peaceful and special atmosphere and I feel just very relaxed there.
Hope you are enjoying September on Hvar as much as we do. Where are you swimming today?
