While the island is getting more and more popular as a cycling destination, travelling with a bike to the island is not as easy as one would think.
Hvar island got a cycling map few days ago. Several trails are available online at Dalmatia-Bike.com and cycling tourism is being supported as it gets recognized as one of the factors of the season prolongation.
But, as Jelena Garcin from Hvar Life explains in this short video done by the Croatian National Television (uploaded by Faros News), getting to the island with a bike can be rather complicated. The ferry ticket cost is too high (a ticket for the bike costs as much as a ticket for a person) and taking your bike with you on the catamaran is actually not possible at all, so no island hoping possible with Jadrolinija.
