Winters an be long on Hvar, but if you are looking for the best place to spend them, there are few better options than Stari Grad. Some restaurants remain open, the ferry to Split is close by, and there is plenty of daily interaction in the old town and in the Stari Grad harbour. It is also a great time to visit, and without the crowd, Stari Grad's timeless streets.
And the winter views have a magic and calm of their own. Stari Grad by winter night. Idyllic.
