The Bench is an integral part of Dalmatian culture, and it has long been an object of fascination for this blogger, as loyal followers of Total Hvar will confirm.
Long famed for its role in society as a meeting point of the wise old (always male) heads of the community, a new type of Dalmatian bench has been attracting plenty of international attention in recent years, with young Solin student inventing an innovative smart bench powered by the sun, which bench visitors can use to charge various appliances while relaxing and enjoying the view.
