Small changes, but they do make a difference in island life, especially in winter.
Split is never far away from the island, but with ferry times meaning that you have to be on the ferry no later than 20:30 to get back to the island, the chances of enjoying a concert or a social evening in Split without having to spend the night has been an impossibility (apart from the 01:30 peak season ferry).
Until now.
There is a new timetable for the Saturday catamaran from Jelsa to Split via Bol. Rather than the usual 06:00 departure, it will now leave at midday, and crucially, the return journey from Split will leave at 23:00, arriving in Bol just after midnight and in Jelsa at 00:30.
This timetable will run until June 1 and then start again on October 1. The usual 06:00 schedule will be in effect for the summer months.
