It is a few years since we did a blog on the opening of Hvar's legendary Pitve Tunnel. The tunnel opened in 1963, connecting north and south properly for the first time, and paving the way for the development in places like Zavala and Ivan Dolac. The rest is history.
The last blog we did on the subject, on the 50th anniversary of the opening, contained a couple of pictures of the inaugural day.
